Two ways to pay — pick per purchase, not per life
The classic subscription
Auto-renews monthly or yearly until you cancel. Needs a login account — a rule that protects you: a lost anonymous token must never keep charging a card. Cancel from your account page any time; the paid days you already bought keep running to their end.
Prepaid days — no auto-renew, ever
Buy 30 or 365 days of any tier as a one-time purchase. Works with anonymous token accounts, banks behind a running subscription, and different tiers stack as a ladder (highest runs first). When the days run out, nothing charges — it just stops.
Credits are separate from tiers — and optional. Every paid tier includes monthly proxy credits; heavier months are topped up with one-time packs from $2, at rates that improve with pack size and your tier bonus. Live model input and output are charged separately; free models use a flat 1-credit processing fee.
Allowances grow with loyalty. The ramp starts the day your plan activates and climbs every 30 days:

Commit up front and skip the ramp. A yearly plan — or 90+ days of top-up bought at once — starts at the full allowance from day one. The rules, plainly: your monthly credits refresh every 30 days counted from your activation date (yearly plans and multi-month top-ups included — the refresh does not wait for a billing event); unused monthly credits do not roll over; top-up pack credits are a separate balance that never expires and is spent only after the monthly pool; and if your plan fully lapses, a new plan starts the ramp from month one — staying active is what climbs it.

How it works
Activation. Enter the license code from your email. Aerenium binds the signed license token to your device hardware ID.
Online check. When connected, the app refreshes a signed license lease that lasts for 30 days.
Offline grace. The lease keeps paid features available offline for up to 30 days. If it expires while you are offline, a 5-day reconnect grace follows before the app drops to Free.
Migration. Each license defaults to two active device seats. If both are in use, deactivate one in Settings → License before activating another machine.
Before you ask
What happens when my credits run out?
The managed proxy rejects a request when the credit balance is too low, so it cannot create a negative balance or an overage charge. Buy a pack or wait for the monthly refill before trying that request again.
Can I cancel and keep what I paid for?
Yes. Cancelling stops renewal and your paid time runs to its end. A subscription can be fully refunded within 14 days; a credit pack can be refunded in that window only if completely unused. Card refunds usually take 5–10 business days, and after 14 days refunds are limited to what the law requires.
Do I need an account?
You can use the local app without an account. Auto-renewing subscriptions and first-subscription trials require a signed-in account. A trial is available only on the first subscription for an account, needs a verified card, and is not available for token purchases.
Is the Free tier actually the full local assistant?
Yes. Free is BYOK-only and includes agentic action, the controlled loop, memory, skills, and document knowledge. Paid tiers add managed credits and labeled connected extras, not the core ability to act.
