Setup Wizard
The full guided install for Windows 10 and 11 x64 — no administrator access, Python, virtual environment, or pip setup required.
- Downloads the latest release and verifies its SHA-256 before anything touches disk
- Desktop and Start Menu shortcuts, plus a standard Windows uninstall entry
- Sign in later to add subscriptions, credits, and cloud backup
- Updates itself in place

Portable install
The same frozen app payload used by the Setup Wizard, provided as a folder you manage yourself.
- Full local assistant with your own API keys or local models
- Copy it, move it, run it from a USB stick
- Sign-in, subscriptions, credits, and Cloud work the same as in the guided install
- Updates and shortcuts remain your responsibility

What happens during setup
- The latest release is downloaded and its SHA-256 checksum verified before anything touches disk.
- The app is unpacked into the folder you choose — self-contained, nothing installed system-wide.
- Desktop & Start Menu shortcuts are added (optional).
- Launch Aerenium, open Settings, and add your API key. Done.
Windows SmartScreen
This early installer is not code-signed yet. If Windows shows a SmartScreen prompt, choose More info, verify that the file came from aerethis.com, then choose Run anyway.

macOS and Linux
The source bundle requires Python 3.10 or newer. Create a virtual environment, install the included requirements with pip, then launch Aerenium with run.sh. Platform support is still early.
Uninstalling Aerenium
On Windows, open Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Aerenium → Uninstall. By default the uninstaller keeps your .Data folder; removing it is optional. Before deleting app data, copy any Cloud passphrase and account token you still need. Manual installs can be removed by deleting their folder and any shortcuts you created.
